Check out our galleries, browse through our blog. That is our style. It’s true – we won’t take pictures of you in front of gazebos. We seek out old barns, grassy fields, abandoned buildings… locations with a lot of character and texture. We want you to have pictures unlike anyone else!
HOW LONG HAVE YOU GUYS BEEN DOING THIS?
Heidi has enjoyed taking pictures for over 10 years, Kevin discovered his love for photography after he met Heidi! Together, Sweet Pea Photography has been in business since 2008. To date, we’ve shot around 100 weddings.
IS THIS YOUR ONLY JOB?
Yes! This is our only source of income. (Pretty cool, right??) Also, we each volunteer 70 hours a month to a Bible education work.
FILM OR DIGITAL?
100% digital using high quality Canon gear.
HOW MANY PHOTOGRAPHERS?
As married photographers, we shoot every wedding together. This ensures that we get different perspectives and capture all the important moments that otherwise could get missed when covered by only one photographer. You’ll also have access to all of the valuable insight we’ve accrued from 5 long years of marriage. (We know that’s what you’re really hiring us for!)
WOULD YOU SHOOT TWO WEDDINGS IN ONE DAY?
Absolutely not. We never shoot more than one wedding in a day. Our focus is YOU! And starting January 1st, 2012, we will only be taking on 2 weddings per month.
HOW MANY FINAL PICTURES WILL I RECEIVE?
You should recieve anywhere from 400 to 700 with a balanced combination of color and black & white pictures.
WHEN CAN I EXPECT TO GET MY PICTURES AFTER MY WEDDING?
Your final images will be ready 8 to 12 weeks after your wedding.
WHY DOES IT TAKE SO LONG TO GET MY PICTURES?
Aside from the time spent shooting your wedding and office work, Heidi will spend around 40 hours carefully sifting through your images, artistically editing each one. We know how excited you are to see your photos, so we try to get them to you within a reasonable time, without jeopardizing the quality of your memories.
CAN I PRINT MY PICTURES SOMEWHERE ELSE?
Yes you can. However, the professional print lab we use delivers much better results than the typical drug store photo lab.
DO YOU TRAVEL FOR WEDDINGS?
We are based out of Carlisle, Pennsylvania- But we can travel anywhere in the state, country or world to photograph your wedding. And don’t worry, our travel rates are reasonable. To date we have shot weddings in California, New York, Connecticut, Maryland and Colorado!

HOW DO I SECURE MY WEDDING DATE?
If you want to secure your wedding date right away, you must pay the non-refundable retainer fee of $1000. Your wedding date will not be reserved untill you place your retainer and have signed the contract.
WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
We accept credit cards such as VISA & Master Card. We also accept payment by check or chocolate chip cookies..
